چکیده
We present a new moment-of-fluid (MOF2) interface reconstruction method. It uses the zeroth, first, and second moments of fragment material inside cell mesh to reconstruct convex polygon or union polygons that approximate respective fragment. The method requires information about only for under consideration. MOF2 allows exactly reproduce several shapes: corners, filaments, some concave cell-complements corners filaments. Interface is formulated as local (for each cell), non-linear, equality constrained optimization problem, which does not require additional communication an efficient parallel implementation. extensive set test problems, both on single cell, variety shapes meshes. describe how perform two-material advection using results classical tests. also show examples remapping needed in framework multi-material arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian methods, give brief description procedure can be used update Lagrangian stage those methods.

Interface reconstruction with least-square t and split Eulerian–Lagrangian advection
Two new volume-ofuid (VOF) reconstruction algorithms, which are based on a least-square t technique, are presented. Their performance is tested for several standard shapes and is compared to a few other VOF=PLIC reconstruction techniques, showing in general a better convergence rate. The geometric nature of Lagrangian and Eulerian split advection algorithms is investigated in detail and a new m...
متن کاملInterface reconstruction with least-squares fit and split advection in three-dimensional Cartesian geometry
We present and analyse two new Volume-of-Fluid (VOF) reconstruction algorithms that approximate the interface separating two immiscible fluids as a linear function in each grid cell (PLIC Piecewise Linear Interface Calculation). The first one is based on two simple geometrical criteria for the reconstruction of a linear interface, the second one minimizes a distance functional to find the plane...
متن کاملStable and accurate interface capturing advection schemes
In this paper, stable and “low-diffusive” multidimensional interface capturing (IC) schemes using slope limiters are discussed. It is known that direction-by-direction slope-limited MUSCL schemes create geometrical artefacts and thus return a poor accuracy. We here focus on this particular issue and show that the reconstruction of gradient directions are an important factor of accuracy. The use...
متن کاملTransposon-based tagging: IRAP, REMAP, and iPBS.
Retrotransposons are a major component of virtually all eukaryotic genomes, which makes them useful as molecular markers. Various molecular marker systems have been developed that exploit the ubiquitous nature of these genetic elements and their property of stable integration into dispersed chromosomal loci that are polymorphic within species. To detect polymorphisms for retrotransposon inserti...
متن کاملA 3D unsplit-advection volume tracking algorithm with planarity-preserving interface reconstruction
A new volume tracking method is introduced for tracking interfaces in three-dimensional (3D) geometries partitioned with orthogonal hexahedra. The method approximates interface geometries as piecewise planar, and advects volumes in a single unsplit step using fully multidimensional fluxes that have their definition based in backward-trajectory remapping. By using multidimensional unsplit advect...
